About Us

Going for a ride at the show We are an active group of local enthusiasts who love our boats and love to use them. We publish a newsletter for our members 3 to 4 times a year. For our meetings, we generally try to have something to attract our members, guests, and Lyman loving friends. In the past, we've had some great presentations on boat restoration and maintenance topics at these meetings. We also started the Classic Lyman Group on Yahoo which is a FREE open discussion group. Lyman Show Schedule

Thursday Ride - Lake Winnisquam
New Destination this year! We will be leaving from the public boat ramp on Water Street in Laconia, NH at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 31, 2012. Directions: From Route 93, take Exit 20 (Route 11A/3) toward Belmont/Laconia. Travel 7.3 miles on Route 3, through Laconia, and make a left onto Fair Street (Aubuchon Hardware will be on your right). Cross the river, make a left onto Water Street and follow the signs. The site includes 41 parking spaces, a staging area, double boat ramps, permanent floating dock and timber wharfs for temporary tie-up. Any antique boater or outboarder is welcome to join us for this ride and picnic. We plan to stop for lunch on the sandbar next to Mosquito Bridge. Please RSVP so we know to look for you if you intend to go. If you can't trailer your boat there but are interested in going anyway, contact Rick and he'll find you room in one of our boats. This is a free public boat launch and there are no launching fees. If you can get the time off to join us, we're sure you won't be disappointed. If you are trailering your boat to the show anyway, consider joining us for one of these rides and picnics. Call, write, or email Rick for more information. You can just show and go. However, the courtesy of an RSVP will just insure that somebody knows to look for you there and will help the organizers arrange for parking. RSVP for this event by emailing Rick Filiau or calling (603) 485-7355.
Friday Ride - Lake Winnipesaukee
Town of Meredith Ramp next to Shep Brown's Boat Basin to (Big) Bear Island Area. This is a return trip this year on an old familiar lake! Last year the wind was strong and we weren't able to tour the area. These rides have been such a popular addition to the weekend show activities that members have requested more "get out and use them" time. We will be leaving from the public boat ramp next to Shep Brown's Boat Basin at 31 Lovejoy Sands Rd in Meredith, NH at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 1, 2012. This site is actually a Town Boat Ramp and there will be a $20 launching fee to the town of Meredith. Any antique boater is welcome to join us for this ride and picnic. Please RSVP so we know to look for you if you intend to go. The Benham Family will host us at their place on Bear Island and will now also be providing lunch! If you can't trailer your boat there but are interested in going anyway, contact Rick and he'll find you room in one of our boats. You can just show and go. However, the courtesy of an RSVP will just insure that somebody knows to look for you there and will help the organizers arrange for parking. RSVP for this event by emailing Rick Filiau or calling (603) 485-7355.
Friday Welcoming Dinner
Club 59. We are also lining up reservations for the Club 59 restaurant on Friday evening, June 1. RSVP required on this one by Wednesday evening May 30 because we will need to have all the reservations ahead of time with your meal selection and payment from the newsletter list in order to ensure we can all get in there. RSVP's should be made directly to Rick at (603) 485-7355 or by emailing your RSVP followed with your payment. We are currently reserving a 6:00 PM arrival time with dining to begin by 7:00 PM. Club 59 is located at 24 Kingswood Road in Wolfeboro, NH.

Milton Three Ponds "Kickoff to Summer"
The NELG, AOMCI and NEC-ACBS have been invited to the Kickoff to Summer event at the Milton Town Beach on Saturday and Sunday, June 9 & 10, 2012 starting at 9 AM for both days. Gates will open at 7 AM to allow for set-up. The Town Beach is located at 852 White Mountain Highway in Milton, NH. The ponds border Lebanon, ME also. This is a return event that hopes to continue to be a yearly attraction. There is only one dock, but there is plenty of room should you not mind beaching your boat. There is also plenty of parking areas for motors and boats on trailers if you wish to bring one just for show. There will be opportunities to take passengers on boat rides on the 3 interconnected ponds should you choose to do so. Hamburger stand is on-site as well as facilities. Best of all, admission is FREE! Help us continue something big that promises to be a fun event. Contact by emailing Rick Filiau or calling (603) 485-7355. And if all this wasn't enough, the local AOMCI members are arranging to race their vintage outboard racers both days on Townhouse Pond right in front of the beach area. Just added, Map of the lake.
